Description
This Homelite CSP4518 oil pump is a Winzor aftermarket replacement for the chain-lubrication pump used on compatible Homelite and Ryobi petrol chainsaws. The original CSP4518 parts list identifies the oil-pump kit as 300945001.
Later parts diagrams and genuine replacement systems also use 300945002 and 5131000552 for the same replacement family. Homelite parts records additionally cross-reference the older 300945001 number to PA01396.
Compatible Homelite and Ryobi Models
Main applications include:
- Homelite CSP4518
- Homelite CSP4520
- Homelite CSP4016
- Ryobi PCN4040
- Ryobi PCN4545
The same replacement pump family is also catalogued for:
- Homelite CSP3314
- Homelite CSP3316
- Homelite CSP4513
- Ryobi HCS3335
- Ryobi PCN3335
- Ryobi RCS3335
- Ryobi RCS5133
Use the model and pump reference when identifying this part. Engine displacement alone is not a reliable fitment criterion because this pump family appears across several different engine sizes.
Oil Pump Reference Numbers
Relevant replacement references are:
- Original oil-pump kit: 300945001
- Later oil-pump reference: 300945002
- Genuine Ryobi replacement reference: 5131000552
- Homelite supersession reference: PA01396
An earlier CSP4518 factory parts list specifies 300945001 as the oil-pump kit.
A later CSP4518 parts diagram lists 300945002 for the oil-pump assembly. Genuine Ryobi replacement information cross-references 300945001, 300945002 and 5131000552, which explains why different numbers can appear when sourcing the same pump family.
Symptoms of an Oil-System Fault
Check the lubrication system if:
- The guide bar and chain remain dry during operation
- The chain becomes unusually hot
- The oil level does not decrease during use
- Little or no oil reaches the guide-bar oil hole
- The guide bar shows rapid wear despite using suitable chain oil
First remove the guide bar and clean its oil hole and groove. Then inspect the saw’s oil outlet, pickup system and pump-drive components.
Installation and Testing
Remove the clutch and surrounding components according to the service procedure for the exact chainsaw model. Inspect the oil-pump drive worm while the pump is accessible.
Clean hardened chain oil and sawdust from the pump area and oil passages before installing the replacement.
After reassembly, fill the tank with suitable chainsaw bar-and-chain oil. Start the saw safely and verify that the lubrication system delivers oil to the guide-bar feed point before returning the machine to cutting service.
