4 Forward and 2 Reverse Gears
The WM1100D-6 uses a two-range mechanical gearbox.
Low range provides two forward gears and one reverse gear. High range provides another two forward gears and one reverse gear.
This gives a total of 4 forward gears, 2 reverse gears and neutral.
The slower gears are useful for harder ground and deeper cultivation, while higher gears are better suited to easier conditions or faster movement.
For difficult soil, it is generally better to work gradually with a slower gear and moderate depth rather than forcing the machine to maximum depth in a single pass.
Differential Steering – Easier Control of a Heavy Machine
The differential steering system is particularly useful on a machine of this size.
On a conventional heavy tiller with both wheels permanently driven together, changing direction can require considerable physical effort.
The WM1100D-6 allows drive to either wheel to be released independently using the steering controls on the handlebars.
When turning, the operator can release drive to the wheel on the inside of the turn while the opposite wheel continues moving. This allows the machine to pivot naturally into the new direction.
The difference is especially noticeable when turning at the end of a cultivation row, manoeuvring around obstacles or repeatedly changing direction over a large plot.
It is a mechanical steering-assistance system rather than hydraulic power steering, but it considerably reduces the physical effort required to manoeuvre the tiller.
Adjustable Working Width
The cutter configuration allows the approximate cultivation width to be adjusted between 80 and 110 cm.
A narrower configuration can be useful when working difficult ground or tighter spaces, while the wider setup allows larger open areas to be covered more quickly.
Working width should be selected according to the conditions rather than automatically using the maximum width for every job.
Electric and Manual Starting
The W300FE/P engine provides both electric and manual starting.
The electric starter makes starting the larger engine more convenient during regular use, while the manual recoil starter remains available as an alternative.
The battery should be maintained correctly, particularly if the machine is stored for long periods between seasons.
Before First Use
Before operating a new WM1100D-6, check the engine oil and transmission oil levels.
Machinery prepared for transport may not necessarily be supplied with all operating fluids filled to the required working level.
Check that the wheels and cutters are installed securely, inspect visible fasteners and familiarise yourself with the clutch, throttle, gearbox, reverse gears and differential steering controls before beginning work.
For the electric-start system, check that the battery is correctly connected and charged.
Follow the supplied operating instructions for the correct oil specifications, filling procedures, initial running-in and maintenance schedule.

Delivery or Collection from Molėtai
The WEIMA WM1100D-6 can be shipped to your address or collected directly from our warehouse in Molėtai, Lithuania.
Warehouse collection can be arranged in advance for customers who prefer to collect the machine personally.
For customers located further away, the tiller can be prepared for freight transport and shipped to the required destination.
Because this is a large and heavy machine, suitable unloading arrangements should be available when receiving it by freight.
