This Husqvarna 350 recoil starter is an aftermarket pull-start assembly for compatible Husqvarna 340, 345, 345E, 346XP, 350, 353 and 353EPA chainsaws. It replaces a broken starter housing or a mechanism with a damaged pulley, spring, rope, handle or engine-engagement component.

The assembly corresponds to references 537104702 and 537422901 for compatible chainsaw versions. It is supplied as an assembled starter unit, allowing the principal recoil components to be replaced together.

Before installation, inspect the starter cup, flywheel engagement components and surrounding covers. Also confirm that the engine turns freely. Excessive resistance can damage the new rope or pulley if the actual fault is inside the engine.

Install the housing evenly and avoid overtightening fasteners into plastic mounting points. Afterwards, pull the handle slowly several times and make sure the starter engages without slipping. The rope should also retract completely without rubbing or remaining loose.
