Description
The Weima WM2300iS inverter generator is a compact, single-phase petrol generator designed to provide portable 230V power at home, in a workshop, on a smallholding, while travelling or during a temporary power cut. Its enclosed housing, integrated carrying handle and 18kg net weight also make it easier to transport and store than a conventional open-frame generator.
This listing refers specifically to the photographed 230V/50Hz European version. Its rating plate states a rated output of 1.8kW, while the product specification gives a maximum output of 2.0kW. Therefore, continuous loads should remain within the 1.8kW rating. The maximum figure provides limited capacity for short demand peaks and should not be treated as a continuous operating output.
Stable Inverter Power
The inverter system regulates the electrical output before supplying connected equipment. In addition, Weima specifies total harmonic distortion of no more than 2.5% for the WM2300iS range. Consequently, the generator can power compatible electronic equipment such as:
- Laptop and mobile-device chargers
- Routers and communications equipment
- Televisions and audio equipment
- LED lighting
- Selected small power tools
- Other equipment within the generator’s rated capacity
However, appliances containing electric motors, compressors, pumps or heating elements may draw considerably more power during startup. Therefore, check both the running wattage and starting requirement before connecting them.
Engine And Fuel System
The generator uses a Weima W148F/P-series engine, which the manufacturer describes as a single-cylinder, forced-air-cooled, four-stroke OHV petrol engine. The rating plate on the photographed unit states a displacement of 79.7cc, while the manufacturer’s general catalogue rounds the figure to 79.8cc.
The engine starts with a manual recoil starter. Furthermore, a combined rotary control provides clearly marked choke, ON and OFF positions.
Engine and fuel specifications include:
- Engine type: single-cylinder, four-stroke OHV
- Cooling: forced air
- Engine output: 2.4kW at 3,600rpm
- Displacement: 79.7cc on the photographed rating plate
- Fuel type: unleaded petrol
- Fuel-tank capacity: 4.5L
- Engine-oil capacity: 0.3L
- Starting system: manual recoil
- Approximate operating time: up to 6 hours at 75% load
- Manufacturer catalogue noise figure: no more than 65dB(A)
Actual running time and noise will vary according to load, ECO-mode use, maintenance, fuel quality and operating conditions.
Control Panel And Connections
The listing photographs physically show a practical front control panel with:
- One covered 230V AC outlet
- Two USB charging outputs marked 5V/2.1A and 5V/1A
- Digital meter for voltage, frequency and accumulated operating hours
- ECO-mode switch
- Reset button
- Oil-alert, overload and running-status indicators
- Parallel connection outlets
- Earthing terminal
The cover fitted to the AC socket carries an IP44 marking. However, this marking applies to the socket component and should not be interpreted as an IP44 rating for the entire generator.
ECO mode allows the engine-management system to reduce engine speed when the connected load permits. As a result, it can help limit unnecessary fuel consumption and noise during lighter use.
The parallel outlets provide a connection point for an approved parallel-running system. Nevertheless, parallel operation requires a compatible generator and the correct connection lead. A parallel lead is not shown or specified as part of the supplied package.

Safe Generator Use
Always operate a petrol generator outdoors in a well-ventilated position, away from doors, windows and ventilation openings. Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, which can cause fatal poisoning in enclosed or partly enclosed spaces.
Before starting, add the correct quantity and grade of engine oil and check the fuel level. Moreover, keep the generator on a stable, level surface and protect it from rain and standing water. Allow the engine to cool before refuelling.
Finally, connect equipment only after confirming its voltage, running wattage and startup demand. If the generator will supply a building circuit, use a qualified electrician and an approved changeover arrangement. Never connect it directly to household wiring through a wall socket.
