Description

This Husqvarna 372XP cylinder kit is a 52mm HYWAY TITANIKEL big-bore cylinder and piston assembly for the older, non-X-Torq engine family. It combines a TITANIKEL-coated cylinder with a matching conventional piston and uses 503 93 93 72 as its replacement-family reference. This is the 52mm big-bore Pop Up version, not the standard 50mm kit.

Compatibility

• Husqvarna chainsaws: 362, 362XP, 362XP Special, 365, 365 Special, 371, 371XP, 372, 372XP and 372XPG, subject to the non-X-Torq engine and intake requirements below.
• Jonsered chainsaws: 2065, 2071, 2165, CS2165, 2171 and CS2171, when using the corresponding older cylinder configuration.
• Cut-off saw conversions: Husqvarna 371K and compatible 375K configurations, subject to checking the original cylinder, intake connection and surrounding components.

On standard 50mm 371/372 engines, this kit increases the bore to 52mm. It is therefore a larger-bore conversion rather than an original-size replacement. Earlier engines with a bolt-on intake manifold require the appropriate round intake boot and clamp. These components should be checked before ordering, particularly when converting a related model.

This kit is not a direct replacement for 365 X-Torq or 372 X-Torq cylinders.

Kit contents

The kit includes a 52mm TITANIKEL cylinder, matching pop up piston, two piston rings, piston pin and piston-pin circlips. The cylinder has a decompression-valve port; the valve itself should not be assumed to be included. Check any required gaskets, bearings and intake components separately.

Before installation

Compare the cylinder base, intake connection and decompression arrangement with the original assembly. Use the supplied piston with its matching cylinder, and have the installer check clearances and the complete conversion setup.

Inspect the crankshaft bearings, seals, intake boot and fuel system. Correct the cause of the original damage, remove debris from the engine and follow the appropriate service procedure for assembly and carburettor adjustment.
