This Husqvarna 55 gasket kit provides the main engine gaskets and crankshaft oil seals required during a compatible Husqvarna 50-series chainsaw rebuild. It replaces hardened, torn or compressed sealing parts that can allow air, fuel vapour or exhaust gases to escape.

Kit contents and purpose
The package includes:
- Cylinder-base gasket
- Crankcase gasket
- Carburettor intake gasket
- Exhaust or muffler gasket
- Crankshaft oil seals
These components seal the cylinder, crankcase, intake and exhaust connections. Meanwhile, the crankshaft seals stop outside air from entering the crankcase around the crankshaft.
Air leaks can create a lean fuel mixture, unstable idle, difficult starting or excessive engine speed. Consequently, worn crankshaft seals can damage the piston and cylinder if the engine continues to run.
Before fitting this Husqvarna 55 gasket kit, clean every sealing surface without scratching the aluminium. Also inspect the crankshaft bearings and sealing surfaces. Install the oil seals squarely and apply sealant only where the repair procedure requires it.
After assembly, pressure-test and vacuum-test the crankcase. Finally, confirm correct carburettor adjustment before returning the chainsaw to service.
