Description
This Oleo-Mac Sparta 42 flywheel is an aftermarket replacement for brushcutters using the 61250014AR ignition-system flywheel.
Official Emak parts catalogues list 61250014AR on Oleo-Mac Sparta 44 together with ignition coil 61250015CR and ignition cable 61250047R. The Sparta 42 parts catalogue also contains this same 61250014AR ignition configuration.

Important Sparta 42 Difference
Oleo-Mac Sparta 42 was produced with two different flywheel and ignition configurations.
The official Sparta 42 IPL lists both:
- 61202039A
- 61250014AR
This replacement is specifically the 61250014AR type. It does not replace flywheel 61202039A. The two references therefore should not be combined into one generic Sparta 42 flywheel listing.
Machines using the 61250014AR flywheel are paired in the catalogue with ignition coil 61250015CR, which provides an additional parts-number check when identifying the correct ignition system.
Flywheel Function
The flywheel rotates directly with the crankshaft and carries the magnetic element used by the ignition coil to generate the ignition pulse. It also provides rotating mass that helps the engine run smoothly.
A damaged keyway, loose flywheel, cracked hub or damaged magnetic section can cause ignition-timing problems, vibration or unreliable spark.
Installation Checks
Before installation, inspect the crankshaft taper, locating key and keyway. Both mating surfaces should be clean and undamaged.
Fit the flywheel in the correct position, tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer’s specification and set the ignition-coil air gap according to the Oleo-Mac service specification. After assembly, rotate the engine manually and make sure the flywheel does not contact the ignition coil or surrounding components.
