Description
The Husqvarna 235 gasket set combines replacement engine gaskets and crankshaft oil seals for compatible Husqvarna chainsaws. It provides the sealing components required when dismantling the engine, correcting an air leak or rebuilding the crankcase.
Winzor supplies this set as a new aftermarket replacement. It contains engine sealing gaskets and crankshaft oil seals. Crankshaft bearings are not included.
Husqvarna 235 gasket set compatibility
This set fits:
- Husqvarna 235
- Husqvarna 235E
- Husqvarna 236
- Husqvarna 236E
- Husqvarna 240
- Husqvarna 240E
Husqvarna’s illustrated parts list groups these models within the same engine family and identifies 545081892 as the gasket kit. However, the 235 and 235E use a 34cc cylinder arrangement, while the 236, 236E, 240 and 240E use a 38cc arrangement. The shared gasket and sealing references do not make their cylinder and piston assemblies interchangeable.
You can confirm the model grouping and component references in the official Husqvarna 235, 236 and 240 parts catalogue.
Reference numbers
- 545081892 / 545 08 18-92 – engine gasket kit
- 545081815 / 545 08 18-15 – crankshaft seal kit
- 530056363 / 530 05 63-63 – earlier main-bearing and seal assembly reference commonly used for comparison
Reference 530056363 originally identifies an assembled bearing-and-seal component in earlier parts diagrams. This Winzor product supplies the crankshaft oil seals only; it does not include crankshaft bearings.

Why replace the gaskets and seals?
A two-stroke chainsaw requires an airtight crankcase to transfer the fuel-and-air mixture through the engine. Hardened oil seals or damaged gaskets can allow unmetered air to enter the crankcase. Consequently, the engine can become difficult to start, idle unevenly, hesitate under acceleration or run with an excessively lean mixture.
Replace the supplied seals and applicable gaskets whenever repairing a confirmed crankcase leak or opening the corresponding engine joints. Clean the sealing surfaces carefully, remove old gasket material and inspect the crankshaft contact areas before assembly. Install the seals squarely without damaging their sealing lips.
After assembly, pressure- and vacuum-test the crankcase before adjusting the carburettor. Also compare the gasket shapes, oil-seal dimensions and reference numbers with the removed parts before installation.
