Description
This BC415 recoil starter is an aftermarket pull-start assembly with a double-pulley easy-start mechanism. It is intended for selected Chinese-manufactured brushcutters and strimmers that use a compatible BC415- or TL52-style starter arrangement.
The product carries the reference 430-22DP, while its label identifies the mechanism as a Double Easy Starter for TL52-type applications. However, generic Chinese brushcutter model names are not fully standardised. Therefore, the model name alone does not guarantee compatibility.

The double-pulley arrangement is designed to make the starting pull smoother by transferring the handle movement through the internal starter mechanism. Nevertheless, the starter must engage correctly with the engine’s starter cup or pawls. An incorrect engagement profile can prevent the crankshaft from turning or damage the internal pulley.
Before ordering, compare:
- Housing shape and overall dimensions
- Number and position of the mounting holes
- Starter engagement hub or pawl arrangement
- Pulley position
- Rope exit direction
- Pull-handle position
- Clearance around the fuel tank and engine covers
In addition, inspect the starter cup and engagement components already fitted to the engine. Replacing the recoil starter will not correct worn or broken parts on the flywheel side.
During installation, position the starter evenly and tighten the mounting screws progressively. Do not overtighten the housing because distortion can cause the pulley or rope to bind.
After fitting, pull the handle slowly several times and confirm that the mechanism engages, retracts and releases correctly. Finally, start the engine safely and make sure the starter does not remain engaged after the handle returns.
