Description
This Husqvarna 395 cylinder piston kit provides a complete aftermarket top-end replacement for compatible Husqvarna chainsaws. Its standard 56mm bore maintains the original 93.6cc engine capacity rather than converting the saw to a big-bore specification.
Replace the cylinder and piston when scoring, seizure damage or low compression causes difficult starting and reduced cutting power. In addition, a fresh top end can help restore stable operation when the original components have reached the end of their service life.
Husqvarna 395 cylinder piston kit compatibility
This kit fits the following chainsaw models:
- Husqvarna 395
- Husqvarna 395 XP
- Husqvarna 395 XPG
However, Husqvarna used different components across some production periods. Therefore, compare the 56mm bore, OEM number and product photographs with the existing parts before ordering.
This kit does not directly fit the Husqvarna 394 or 394 XP without additional conversion components.
OEM reference numbers

Installation guidance
Before installing the Husqvarna 395 cylinder piston kit, identify the cause of the original engine failure. For example, an air leak, lean carburettor setting, restricted fuel supply or overheating can quickly damage the replacement components.
Also inspect the crankshaft bearings, oil seals, intake boot, impulse hose and carburettor. Then remove all metal fragments and dirt from the crankcase. Lubricate the piston, rings and cylinder with clean two-stroke oil during assembly.
Finally, tune the carburettor correctly after installation and confirm that the engine receives adequate lubrication. Professional installation is recommended if you do not have the correct tools or two-stroke engine experience.
