Description
This Winzor aftermarket carburetor suits conventional-carburetor versions of the Stihl MS 362 and selected MS 362 C chainsaws. It replaces OEM 1140 120 0600 and follows the Walbro WTE-8 carburetor pattern. Therefore, it offers a practical replacement for a worn, damaged or unreliable original carburetor.
This version uses conventional mixture adjustment screws. Consequently, it does not fit M-Tronic MS 362 C-M chainsaws.
Compatible models
- Stihl MS 362
- Stihl MS 362 C with a conventional adjustable carburetor
- Selected MS 362 R versions using the same OEM carburetor
However, Stihl used different fuel systems across the MS 362 range. Therefore, check the model designation and original carburetor carefully before ordering.

A worn carburetor can cause difficult starting, unstable idling, poor acceleration or reduced cutting power. In addition, damaged internal diaphragms may cause fuel starvation or excessive fuel delivery. Replacing the complete carburetor can consequently provide a simpler repair than rebuilding a heavily worn unit.
Check compatibility before ordering
Before ordering, compare the 1140 120 0600 OEM number with your original part. Also compare the carburetor body, throttle linkage, choke mechanism, fuel connections and adjustment-screw positions.
This carburetor has conventional adjustment screws and no M-Tronic control connection. Therefore, do not order it for an MS 362 C-M or another electronically controlled version.
Installation and adjustment
After installation, inspect the intake boot, impulse passage, fuel lines and fuel filter. Air leaks or restricted fuel flow can produce symptoms similar to carburetor failure.
Next, adjust the idle speed and fuel mixture according to the chainsaw’s service specifications. Incorrect adjustment can make the engine run lean and cause serious cylinder or piston damage. Therefore, ask a qualified small-engine technician to tune the carburetor if you are unsure.
The package contains only the components shown in the product photographs. Gaskets, fuel lines and mounting hardware are not included unless the photographs show them.
Stihl and Walbro names and part numbers identify compatibility only. This product is an aftermarket replacement and is not manufactured by those companies.
