Description
This Oleo-Mac GS 35 carburetor is an aftermarket replacement for chainsaws using OEM carburetor 50240045R.
The same carburetor fits the Oleo-Mac GS 35, GS 35 C, GS 350, GS 350 C, GSH 40 and GSH 400 chainsaw families. It also fits the equivalent Efco MT 350, MT 3500 and MTH 400 models.

These Oleo-Mac and Efco models use the same Emak carburetor reference, so 50240045R is the most useful number when checking compatibility.
Carburetor Function
The carburetor meters the correct amount of petrol and air entering the two-stroke engine. A worn or contaminated carburetor can cause:
- Difficult starting
- Poor idle
- Engine hesitation during acceleration
- Loss of power
- Engine stalling
- Incorrect fuel mixture
Before replacing the carburetor, inspect the fuel filter, fuel hoses, tank breather, intake connection and impulse system. Air leaks or restricted fuel flow can cause symptoms very similar to a carburetor fault.
Installation Checks
Install the carburetor with the intake seals and connections correctly seated. Make sure the throttle linkage and choke mechanism move freely and return correctly.
After installation, start the chainsaw and allow the engine to warm up. Check idle, throttle response and full-speed operation. Carburetor adjustment should be carried out according to the engine manufacturer’s procedure.
