Description
This Oleo-Mac 947 carburetor is an aftermarket diaphragm carburetor for selected Oleo-Mac 947 and 952 chainsaws, as well as compatible Efco 147 and 152 models. It replaces a carburetor that can no longer meter fuel correctly, maintain a stable idle or respond consistently when the throttle opens.
The product corresponds to references 50070224B and 50070011AR. However, these chainsaw families were produced with more than one carburetor construction. Therefore, compatibility must be confirmed by comparing the original part rather than relying only on the chainsaw model.

Before ordering, compare the mounting-hole spacing, intake opening, fuel connection, impulse passage, throttle linkage and choke mechanism. In addition, check whether the removed carburetor uses the same control arrangement and adjustment-screw positions.
These Oleo-Mac and Efco model families may contain different original Walbro- or Zama-style configurations. Consequently, the two original carburetor types should not be assumed to interchange merely because they appeared on the same chainsaw model.
A worn carburetor may cause difficult starting, unstable idle, poor acceleration, excessive fuel consumption or insufficient fuel delivery under load. Nevertheless, similar symptoms can result from hardened fuel hoses, a blocked fuel filter, a restricted tank vent, an intake leak or worn crankshaft seals. Therefore, inspect the complete fuel and intake system before replacing parts.
During installation, use suitable undamaged gaskets and keep the impulse passage clear. Furthermore, make sure the throttle and choke controls move freely before starting the engine.
After installation, adjust the idle and fuel mixture according to the correct service procedure. Because an excessively lean mixture can overheat and damage the piston and cylinder, professional final adjustment is recommended.
