Description
The Husqvarna 236 AV kit is a Winzor aftermarket replacement set for the anti-vibration system fitted to compatible Husqvarna petrol chainsaws. The kit replaces worn or damaged spring mounts that separate the engine assembly from the handles and fuel-tank housing.
Chainsaw engines produce continuous vibration during operation. The anti-vibration springs absorb part of this movement before it reaches the handles. Consequently, properly functioning mounts improve operator comfort, support better control and reduce strain on the surrounding housings and mounting points.

The kit provides the three spring mounts used to support and isolate the chainsaw handle assembly. Replacing the mounts as a set helps maintain balanced support across the anti-vibration system.
Common signs of worn or broken mounts include increased vibration at the handles, excessive movement between the engine and rear handle, rattling or visible damage to the springs and their retaining ends. Damaged mounts can also allow the housings to move farther than intended.
Installation guidance
Before installation, disconnect the spark-plug lead and remove the necessary covers. Support the engine and handle assemblies while releasing the old mounts, since separating these sections places additional load on the remaining springs.
Clean each mounting location and check the surrounding plastic housings for cracks or enlarged mounting holes. Next, install every spring in its correct position without stretching, bending or cross-threading its retaining ends. Reassemble the chainsaw evenly and confirm that the throttle linkage, fuel hoses and wiring move freely.
After installation, make sure the engine assembly moves slightly within the suspension system without contacting the handle housing. All three mounts should share the load evenly.
