Generic Chinese chainsaw model numbers are not standardised. Therefore, a machine marked 5200 does not automatically guarantee compatibility. This kit only fits engines that use a 45mm piston and 11mm piston pin.

Before ordering, remove and measure the original piston across the widest part of its skirt. In addition, check the piston-pin diameter, piston height, ring thickness and overall design. Comparing the old components with the product photographs provides an additional fitment check.

Installation guidance

Clean the crankcase and cylinder thoroughly before assembly. Next, apply clean two-stroke oil to the piston, rings, pin and cylinder wall. Align each piston-ring gap with its locating pin and make sure both circlips sit fully inside their grooves. Finally, check that the piston moves freely before completing the engine assembly.

Air leaks, an incorrect fuel mixture or a poorly adjusted carburettor can quickly damage a new piston. For this reason, inspect the crankshaft seals, intake components, fuel system and carburettor settings before returning the chainsaw to service.
