Description

This 38cc chainsaw clutch is a new Winzor aftermarket replacement for compatible generic Chinese 3800-series chainsaws. It uses the three-shoe centrifugal design shown in the product photographs and transfers engine power to the clutch drum as engine speed increases.

At idle, the clutch shoes retract and disengage from the drum. Therefore, the engine can continue running while the saw chain remains stationary.

As engine speed increases, centrifugal force moves the three clutch shoes outwards. The shoes contact the inside of the clutch drum and transfer rotation to the drive sprocket and saw chain.

A worn or damaged clutch can cause chain-drive slipping, weak acceleration, irregular engagement or unwanted chain movement at idle. Replacing the damaged assembly restores proper engagement between the engine and clutch drum.
