The current replacement cylinder reference is 10103456532. It also replaces the earlier 10103456031 and 10103456530 cylinder numbers used within this engine family.

Checks Before Installation

Confirm these three identification points before disassembly:

• The complete machine model
• The 34 mm cylinder bore
• Cylinder number 10103456532, 10103456031 or 10103456530

Before installing the new cylinder group, inspect the connecting-rod small-end bearing, crankshaft movement and crankcase sealing surfaces. Also check the intake boot, carburetor adjustment and crankshaft seals. Air leakage or an excessively lean mixture can damage a replacement piston and cylinder.

Clean the crankcase mounting surface without allowing old gasket material to enter the engine. Install the piston in the correct direction, position the rings against their locating pins and slide the cylinder into place without forcing the rings.

After assembly, rotate the crankshaft manually through several complete revolutions. The piston must travel freely before the engine is started.
