Description

This 32.2 mm cylinder and piston kit is an aftermarket top-end replacement for compatible ECHO GT-22GES, SRM-22GES and selected ECHO hedge trimmers using the original A130000021 cylinder configuration.

The kit replaces the cylinder identified by ECHO OEM reference A130000021 (A130-000021) and supplies the matching piston components for rebuilding the 21.2cc two-stroke engine.

The original ECHO piston kit is identified by P021009950, which contains the piston and associated components.

Important Compatibility Information

ECHO produced several versions of these engines with different cylinder references.

For example, the PB-2100 blower uses other cylinder references on certain production versions, including A130000020. The cylinder must therefore be matched by the machine’s model, serial number and original part reference.

The additional aftermarket catalogue reference A130002300 is associated with this replacement family, but the confirmed factory cylinder reference for the listed configurations is A130000021.

Installation Recommendations

Inspect the crankshaft, connecting rod, needle bearing and crankcase seals before installing the new cylinder.

Clean the cylinder mounting surface and use the correct sealing method. Lubricate the piston, rings and cylinder bore with suitable two-stroke oil during assembly.

Fit the piston rings and retaining clips correctly, then check engine compression and crankcase sealing after installation.

Identify and correct any fuel-system or lubrication fault that caused the original cylinder damage.
