This carburetor replaces the complete fuel-metering unit when the original body, throttle mechanism or internal fuel passages suffer damage. The diaphragm system draws fuel from the tank and meters it according to engine speed and throttle position. Consequently, a correctly functioning carburetor supports reliable starting, stable idling and consistent acceleration.

Common signs of carburetor wear or contamination include difficult starting, fuel leakage, unstable idle, poor acceleration and an engine that stops when the throttle opens. Before replacing the carburetor, inspect the fuel filter, fuel lines, tank vent, air filter, intake boot and cylinder compression. Faults in these components can produce similar symptoms.

Clean the intake area before installation and connect the fuel line, throttle linkage and choke mechanism in their original positions. After fitting the carburetor, check the idle speed and fuel-mixture adjustment according to the chainsaw’s service specifications. Finally, confirm that the chain remains stationary while the engine idles.
