Aprašymas
The WEIMA WM900M-3 petrol tiller provides a versatile solution for cultivating gardens, vegetable plots, orchards and small agricultural areas. It combines an adjustable 800–1,200 mm working width with a working depth of up to 150–300 mm, depending on the soil and machine setup.
The WM900M-3 also offers three forward gears and one reverse gear. Therefore, the operator can select a suitable speed for cultivation, transport or compatible attachments.
WEIMA four-stroke petrol engine
A WEIMA single-cylinder, four-stroke OHV petrol engine drives this WM900M-3. The engine uses forced-air cooling and a manual recoil starter, which keeps starting and routine maintenance straightforward.
The supplied machine carries the following engine markings:
- Engine model: WM170FB/P-2
- Displacement: 212 cc
- Engine class: 7.0
- Maximum output: 4.8 kW at 3,600 rpm
The engine provides useful torque for breaking cultivated ground, preparing seedbeds and mixing organic material into loosened soil. In addition, its standard OHV layout provides convenient access to common service parts such as the air filter, spark plug and recoil starter.
Adjustable cultivation width and depth
The rotary cultivator can work across a width of 800–1,200 mm. Consequently, the operator can configure the machine for different plot sizes and working conditions.
A narrower setup improves manoeuvrability around established beds and restricted areas. Meanwhile, the full-width configuration covers larger areas more efficiently.
The machine plate gives a tilling-depth range of 150–300 mm. However, actual depth depends on several factors:
- Soil hardness and moisture
- Previous cultivation
- Tine arrangement and condition
- Selected forward gear
- Number of passes
- Depth-regulator setting
- Operator control
For hard or previously uncultivated soil, start with a shallow pass. Then increase the depth gradually. This approach reduces unnecessary strain on the transmission, belts and engine.
Three forward gears and reverse
The WM900M-3 transmission provides three forward gears, neutral and reverse. Each gear serves a different operating purpose:
- First gear: slower movement for controlled or heavier cultivation
- Second gear: general-purpose tilling and normal transport
- Third gear: faster travel and operation with selected compatible active attachments
- Reverse gear: easier repositioning and manoeuvring in restricted areas
Reverse makes a substantial machine easier to handle. However, always check the area behind the operator before engaging it.
Belt-drive system and attachment potential
The WM900M-3 uses a belt-drive system to transfer engine power. This design also allows the machine to operate selected belt-driven active attachments when the correct mounting and drive components are installed.
Depending on the hitch, pulley, wheel and adapter configuration, compatible equipment may include:
- WEIMA WMKM900 rotary mower
- Ridging plough
- Single-furrow plough
- Potato digger
- Metal traction wheels
- Transport wheels
- Other compatible WM900-series implements
Drive shaft diameter: 16mm
Drive shaft length: 75mm
Always confirm the exact attachment, coupling and drive requirements before ordering. Attachments do not form part of the standard machine unless the listing photographs or package description specifically include them.
Comfortable handling
The adjustable handlebar allows the operator to select a comfortable working height. Therefore, users of different heights can maintain better control while cultivating or transporting the machine.
Despite its substantial working capacity, this particular WM900M-3 variant has a net weight of 74 kg. That weight helps the tines enter the ground while remaining manageable during turning and repositioning.

Suitable applications
The WEIMA WM900M-3 cultivator suits a range of ground-preparation jobs, including:
- Preparing vegetable plots and seedbeds
- Loosening previously cultivated soil
- Mixing compost into loose ground
- Cultivating between growing seasons
- Breaking surface crust after rain
- Maintaining orchards and larger gardens
- Preparing soil before planting potatoes or other crops
- Operating compatible agricultural attachments
Remove large stones, wire, roots and other hidden objects before cultivation. These materials can damage the tines or become dangerous projectiles.
Before first use
Check both the engine-oil and transmission-oil levels before starting the machine. Transport regulations often require suppliers to drain machinery before shipping. Therefore, never assume that a newly delivered machine already contains the correct quantity of oil.
Also inspect the following components:
- Tine bolts and retaining pins
- Drive belts and belt guard
- Control cables
- Handlebar fasteners
- Wheels and attachment points
- Fuel lines and connections
- Engine and transmission for leaks
Follow the supplied WEIMA manual when selecting engine oil, transmission oil and service intervals.
Safe operation and maintenance
Always operate the tiller outdoors on stable ground. Wear sturdy footwear, eye protection, hearing protection and close-fitting work clothing. In addition, keep children, animals and bystanders away from the working area.
Start the engine with the transmission in neutral and the drive disengaged. Keep hands and feet away from the rotating tines. Before adjusting, cleaning or changing an attachment, stop the engine and disconnect the spark-plug cap.
After use, remove compacted soil and plant material from the tines. Regularly inspect the belts, controls, fasteners and guards. Finally, service the engine oil, air filter and spark plug according to the maintenance schedule.
Important model-identification note
Other WM900 and WM900M-3 production versions use different engines, wheel sizes, cutter arrangements and operating weights. Therefore, use the machine plate rather than a generic WM900 specification when ordering replacement parts or attachments.
