This 3800 38cc chainsaw carburetor is a complete aftermarket replacement for many compact petrol chainsaws based on the common Chinese 3800 engine platform. It regulates the fuel-and-air mixture supplied to the engine, helping the chainsaw start easily, idle steadily and accelerate smoothly.
A worn carburetor can cause difficult starting, unstable idling, hesitation, poor acceleration, fuel leakage or loss of power. Therefore, replacing the complete assembly can provide a practical repair when cleaning or replacing the internal diaphragms no longer solves the problem.

Important compatibility information:
Manufacturers have produced several carburetor versions for 3800 chainsaws. In particular, the number and position of the fuel pipes or primer connections can differ. The throttle and choke linkages may also vary.
Therefore, do not order by the 3800 or 38cc marking alone. Before ordering, compare the mounting-hole spacing, body shape, fuel connections, adjustment-screw positions and control linkages with your original carburetor.
After installation, inspect the fuel filter, fuel pipes, intake gasket and manifold for leaks. Then adjust the carburetor according to the chainsaw manufacturer’s procedure. An excessively lean setting can overheat and damage the engine.
